MIRU (itch.io) was a game I discovered through some tweets from Brandon Yu (Twitter). He is one of those awesome fellows who have started my desire to play some solo TTRPGs. After I saw MIRU and read about the setting and the rules, it grabbed my attention. So here we are. Let’s play this one!
Setup
The setup of the game is quite straightforward. What is essentially needed are som d6 dices a map sheet (contained in the PDF) some paper for notes and a pencil. If you want to track energy and health not on paper you can do this with two d20 dice. For now it looks good. Let’s go to the character.
Character creation
The character creation itself is self explanatory. We start with 10 HP and 10 Energy also we got 3x Meal Bars in our inventory. And for now this should be sufficient. Brother we are going to avenge you!
Day 1
We start in the forest I placed on E-1. Those machines have killed our brother an we’ll seek revenge. Their bits and parts will be ours to take advantage over them and to fulfil our brothers wish. Avenge him!
Now we decide which hex we discover the first. I’ll go to the right F-2.

As we reach the borders of the forest a harsh warm wind sprays sand in my face. I can’t imagine something more uncomfortable, but hell was I wrong. Behind a dune a mountain lion approaches without a warning he wants to slash my face! Thankfully he was also surprised to meet me so his attack was just a scratch, but a hurtful one. This is the time I started running back into the woods.

As I reached the trees the mountain lion stays behind. For the sake of all powers… thank you. I’ll take a rest, but I’m to exhausted to eat. This will be a hard night.
Due o sleep in my small improvised camp I’ll get +3HP and +2EP but the skipped meal gives me -2HP. After the first day my stats are 8 HP, 10 EP, and I hold on to 2 meal bars – I must have lost on during my escape – which don’t seem very appetizing after the chase with the lion.
